Recruiting Team Attends 7th Annual Veterans and Military Affairs Executive Forum
Our dynamic duo, Talent Acquisition Manager, Tiffany Newville and Junior Talent Acquisition Specialist, Megan Carter, joined 500 business and military leaders to support veterans’ employment opportunities and hear keynote remarks from Governor Glenn Youngkin, at the 7th Annual Veterans and Military Affairs Executive Forum, held October 23, at the Greater Richmond Convention Center.
Hosted by the Virginia Chamber Foundation, Virginia Department of Veterans Services (DVS), and the Virginia Veterans Services Foundation (VVSF), the event highlighted strategies to strengthen Virginia’s position as a national leader in supporting service members, veterans, and military families.
“This was an exceptional event to connect with other individuals, companies, and non-profits that have the key goal of supporting our veterans through various avenues including training, hiring, childcare, and housing, among other things,” said Ms. Newville I enjoyed hearing from the V3 award winners, companies ranging in size from less than 50 to 1000+ employees, on their strategies to improve veteran hiring and retention.
Digital Consultants has been a V3 certified employer for over 7 years. While this was the first time we attended the Executive Forum we have attended the Virginia Values Veterans (V3) Northern Virginia Employer’s Conference every year.
“I want to thank the Virginia Chamber for being such an extraordinary partner on behalf of our veterans,” said Governor Youngkin during his keynote remarks. “By bringing together businesses across the Commonwealth to participate in the Virginia Values Veterans (V3) program, we’ve been able to grow participation from 1,700 companies when I took office to over 3,800 different employers today, resulting in the hiring of 53,000 veterans across Virginia in the last three and a half years.
Events like the 2025 Virginia Veterans and Military Affairs Executive Forum play a critical role in our recruiting strategies by connecting Digital Consultants directly with veteran-focused organizations, policymakers, and workforce leaders,” continued Ms. Newville. They allow us to strengthen relationships, highlight best practices in veteran hiring, and showcase Virginia’s commitment to being a top destination for military talent.
The annual event included roundtable discussions with leaders from across sectors focused on improving veteran employment outcomes, strengthening support for military spouses, and aligning workforce strategies with the Commonwealth’s economic priorities.
Keith Martin, Interim President and CEO of the Virginia Chamber of Commerce, emphasized the economic importance of this work. “Supporting the Commonwealth’s veterans and military community is a cornerstone of Blueprint Virginia 2035,” explained Mr. Martin.
“The leadership, discipline, and innovation that veterans bring to the civilian workforce are vital to our state’s competitiveness. By connecting military talent to opportunity, we strengthen not only our economy, but the foundation of Virginia’s future success.”
Digital Consultants is committed to continuing our role as a V3 certified employer and supporting the standard-setting forum discussions that highlighted what is possible when the private and public sectors work together to ensure veterans have access to meaningful careers and a strong quality of life.

Digital Consultants Gives Back – Sponsoring New Child in Cambodia Through SEAPC
Little Choulin Tha, age 5, had a prayer request to get toys. The Thailand native got more than that as Digital Consultants’ newest sponsored child from New Hope Children’s Homes in Cambodia. Digital Consultants accomplishes humanitarian work around the world, from digging wells, providing water purification systems, repairing orphanages, purchasing food, clothing, and equipment, to paying for college and trade degrees for orphans in Cambodia and Nepal. As a part of our drive to create opportunity and optimism in the lives of poverty-stricken children, we sponsor two children in Cambodia, covering all their expenses in the orphanages and for their education. Choulin replaces a sponsored child who just graduated away from the orphanage.
Choulin was born to a low-income Cambodian family living in Thailand to serve as migrant workers. Struggling to find work her mother, Chhlorm Silat, who also grew up within the New Hope Children’s Homes, left before finishing school. Her husband, Tha Thy, never finished school either, placing them in the position to have little time to spend with their daughter in Thailand, which made the decision to place Choulin at New Hope back in Cambodia the best decision for her education.
Digital Consultants’ ethics center on education and determination. We lead with our people and support the growth of those in need to create a more just world where education opens doors to possibilities and prayers answered.

Chief Executive Officer Featured – Level Up Your Business Program Series
Our leader Mr. Dae Jin Kim (DJ) was an honored speaker and panelist at the Small Business Administration’s 8(a) Business Development Program Series: Level Up Your Business, held January 30, at Busboys & Poets restaurant, bar, and bookstore in Hyattsville, Maryland.
As an established industry leader, DJ inspired representatives from 100 mid-phase 8(a) firms, giving advice, insights, and pointers in Government Contracting for 8(a) IT firms 4 to 6 years into the 8(a) program in the National Capital Region. He fielded candid questions on topics ranging from growth strategies, preparing back-office infrastructure to support growth, branding and marketing, business analytics, to customer relationship management, and developing partnerships with other small and large firms.
The panel discussion created an opportunity for DJ to recommend top tools for streamlined bid search and analysis that will position 8(a) and small businesses looking for an organizational edge in Federal Government contracting.
As Digital Consultants continues on the fast track of explosive growth in its 18th year, DJ spends significant time mentoring other start-ups and small businesses, particularly sharing the lessons learned and “know-hows” he has gathered along the journey. This is a part of Digital Consultants’ commitment to giving back to other small business initiatives.
The SBA’s 8(a) Business Development Program Series: Level Up Your Business, is a workshop series that helps 8(a) practitioners “pave the way” growing their businesses to flourish within the federal contracting space. It features first-hand accounts from established 8(a) firms regarding the lessons learned while in the 8(a) program — the mistakes to avoid, and the essential practices to adopt.
